Found 60 miles out of the captial Honiara within a small group of islands in the Russell Islands is Baquin Island, intimately cherished as Escape Island.
Used during the second world war as a Rest & Relaxation paradise.
So called also because of its isolation and that unique feeling of “getting away from it all” this paradise island is now avaliable for short or long term stays.
Under private ownership,only recently have the owners opened up the Excape Island.
